In Scott's Memory

During the last weekend of Scott's life, his greatest concern was that our daughter, Alexis, who was only five years old at the time, would not remember him. He made me promise that I would always tell her how much he loved her.

After Scott passed away, I replayed that conversation in my mind many times. I kept asking myself, "How can I keep his memory alive while also doing something meaningful for others?"

That question marked the beginning of this foundation.

I began the process of filing our incorporation papers and applying for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Our approval arrived on my birthday in 2016, and I chose to take that as a sign that Scott approved.

What started as a single $500 scholarship at Scott's high school has grown into more than $86,000 in awards. We have celebrated our 10th anniversary and expanded our mission to include grants supporting veterans, active-duty service members, service-connected individuals, and Gold Star families.

Scott's memory will always live on—not only within our family, but also through every student, veteran, child, and military family we are able to help. There is not a day that goes by that he is not remembered, and we will always continue to "Go Big or Go Home" in his memory.
