Supporting Military & Veteran Families Since 2016

No military family should be overlooked—no matter when the sacrifice came.

The DeCoste Memorial Foundation provides scholarships, grants, and community programs to military, veteran, Gold Star, and service-connected families across Rhode Island, Southeastern Massachusetts, and Hampton Roads, Virginia. In addition, we proudly support Woonsocket High School in Rhode Island, where Scott graduated in 1984, with annual scholarships.

Why We Exist

Scott's Story

Senior Chief Scott DeCoste served the United States Navy for 23 years. Throughout his career, he was known not just for his dedication to service, but for his commitment to the people around him—always looking out for those who needed a hand.

Scott lived by a simple philosophy: "Go Big or Go Home." He believed that if you were going to do something, you did it with everything you had. That spirit is the foundation of everything we do.

The DeCoste Memorial Foundation was established in his memory to ensure that the families of those who serve—and those who have served—are never left behind.

"Go Big or Go Home."

Every July 21 — Scott's birthday — the DeCoste Memorial Foundation invites our community to honor his memory through acts of kindness. Whether it's buying a stranger a cup of coffee, mowing a neighbor's lawn, or simply offering a smile, no deed is too small.
